Bader and Blyth to Star in Netflix’s “People We Meet On Vacation”

3000 Pictures, Netflix Team Up for Adaptation

Netflix and 3000 Pictures are teaming up to adapt Emily Henry's popular novel "People We Meet on Vacation." Tom Blyth ("The Hunger Games") and Emily Bader ("My Lady Jane") have been cast as the lead roles of Alex and Poppy, respectively.

The film will follow the story of Poppy and Alex, who have been taking an annual vacation together for the past ten years. Despite their close friendship, they have always kept their relationship strictly platonic. However, during their latest vacation, everything changes, and they find themselves falling for each other.

The adaptation is being written by Katie Silberman, who previously wrote the screenplay for "Set It Up." The film will be directed by Alex Hardcastle, who is known for his work on "Love, Simon" and "The Hate U Give."

Filming is expected to begin later this year, with a release date set for 2023.
